La instalación Narbe se compone de diapositivas del pasado de diferentes personas y de historiales médicos impresas sobre vidrio. El paso del tiempo y las condiciones de conservación generan capas de hongos (activos y mutados) que impiden la visibilidad de la imagen a la vez que se integran como parte intrínseca de la misma. La obra es una suma de capas donde aparecen hongos que son una enfermedad del celuloide, a su vez fusionada con la enfermedad del cuerpo y las marcas que pueda tener el espacio donde se ubica la pieza. El soporte es frágil y da cuenta de la condición de vulnerabilidad de la memoria personal y de los enfermos ante la objetivación de la mirada científica y su consecuente control social.
The installation Narbe consists of slides from the past of different people and from medical files printed on glass. The passage of time and conservation conditions generate layers of fungi (active and mutated) that prohibit the visibility of the image while being integrated as an intrinsic part of it. The work is a sum of layers where mushrooms appear that are a disease of celluloid, in turn fused with the disease of the body and the marks that the space where the piece is located may have. The support is fragile and gives an account of the condition of vulnerability of the personal memory and of the sick people before the objectivation of the scientific gaze and its consequent social control.
