Aéropostale es un trabajo sobre la idea de la memoria, su fragilidad, los recuerdos.
La referencia a la memoria,está relacionada con la memoria personal, la cual es considerada única y formativa de nuestra identidad individual.
En el caso de Aéropostale, la artista toma postales de una colección familiar, las cuales fotografía e interviene para generar la atmósfera buscada; un viaje hacia el pasado.
Carolina Magnin considera el montaje para sus obras como parte conceptual de las mismas;las fotografías montadas bajo acrílico es una manera de traer las imágenes del pasado a un lugar contemporáneo.
El trabajo está conformado también por una instalación en donde las fotografias intervienen objetos.

“La memoria y los sueños parecen ser los dos grandes territorios donde flotan las imágenes de Carolina Magnin. Es en ese preciso borde donde su propuesta fotográfica comienza a tomar su forma.
Sus imágenes parecen envueltas en sutiles atmósferas de ensueño.
El viaje, la evanescencia de los hechos capturados en la memoria, el tránsito entre estados emotivos, son la elipse y la magia que orbita Aéropostale.

Aéropostale is a work on the idea of memory, its fragility, recollections.
The reference to memory is related it with personal memory, which is considered unique and formative of our individual identity.
In the case of Aéropostale, the artist took postcards from her family’s collection; she photographed and intervened them to create the atmosphere she wanted; a trip to the past.
Carolina Magnin considers the montage for her works as a conceptual part of them; the photographs are mounted beneath acrylic because it’s a way of bringing the images of the past to a contemporary place.
The work is also made up of an installation in which images are placed over and inside pieces of furniture.
